Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
As a Co-Active coach, it is my job to bring awareness and curiosity to the emotions and actions of my clients so that they can make better choices in their life plans. Together we focus on the present and how we can improve your future. I do not deal with the psychological antecedent to the emotion — that is the realm of therapy. If profound sadness or depression ensues over our time together, I will absolutely bring this to the attention of my client and ensure they receive the help they need. Coaching can work beautifully alongside therapy or counselling but must never be viewed as a replacement.
Where and how does coaching take place?
The majority of my hourly coaching sessions take place over the phone. This makes it very easy logistically for my clients. When working with teams and corporates, I frequently travel throughout London to see clients. For clients who prefer face-to-face coaching, I have a practise room located in Cobham, Surrey. My only stipulation is that I never coach in my client’s home or my own home.
Coaching - The Process?
I ask that each of my clients commit to three months worth of sessions with me. Lasting change in our thought process can only be achieved over a course of time. During the first month, we plan a Discovery Session, followed by a coaching session once a week and then fortnightly sessions for the following two months. After every session you are set homework and accountability is essential to our relationship. Contact between sessions is expected as we celebrate your 'wins.'
What is the pricing structure?
This is very much dependent on what you are looking for from coaching and how long you want to commit. The pricing structure is bespoke to the individual and their needs. In order to assess how I can help I offer a free 30 min sample session. This enables me to create a plan of how we can work together.
