Are You Paying Attention To The Signs Of Your Life Purpose?

As you go through life., if you’re paying attention you’ll notice signs. All types of signs. Some will scream as to the choices you should or should not be making. Some will be romance lead, some career and some purely decisions on the energy you allow into your orbit. Some creating the future you deserve. These signs are there to lead you, guide you, and totally will you on to the places and the person you are supposed to be. The ultimate destination.

If you are spiritual you may feel this is a godly guidance, if you’re ‘woo woo’ like me, you most likely place your trust in the universe and if you’re feet are a little firmer on the ground you may believe in fate or more logistical conscious decision making. All leading you to that happiness goal. Honey, whatever bracket you fit into, they all work . . . it tells me you have aspirations to be better and the knowledge you deserve the happiest life possible.

The beauty of this long life that we lead is that in order to find happiness, fulfilment, and . . . well, order, in this life of ours is to indeed find our purpose. Some say beauty, some say curse. Perspective dependent on what side of the meticulous tightrope you’re currently treading. Either way its very important. So what is your life purpose? Have you even given it much thought?

Life purpose is described as your ‘central motivating aims of your life’ and ‘the reason you get up in the morning.’ The life purpose we choose can influence all manner of things; our goals, our influence and mainly the choice between happiness and sadness. A life worth living no matter the circumstances vs a life you settled for.

If you are struggling to connect with what this might mean to you I would like you to do a little dance with me. Find a quite spot, sit comfortably, give yourself ten minutes to focus on your breath and feeling grounded in your body and let your mind drift to the last time you felt completely ‘on purpose.’

This could be the last time you felt truly carefree and connected to the people around you. You may have found your purpose in solitude by achieving something you never thought possible. You’re life purpose may have begun the day you held your first child in your arms or it could be the last time you authentically showed up as purely yourself in the most minor or the most large of conversations. It could be the moment you walked away from a toxic relationship or closed the door on a career that made you miserable . . . just take a moment to connect with the energy you felt in that moment.

The next step in this dance of ours is to establish what values you were honouring. Were you being brave? Were you being authentic? Were you being kind or deleteriously happy. Were you scared of the risk but you took it anyway? Did it feel like staring down the barrel of the gun but you pushed the button for the bigger cause? What was it that made you feel entirely on purpose? What was it that made you feel entirely alive?

Once you have established what values it takes for you to feel like you are aligned in your world and ‘on purpose’ how do you repeat this feeling or get it more often or more intensely? Have you learnt anything about yourself and what healthy habits can YOU create and ensure you are feeling balanced and on purpose in the future?

I truly know that once you have answered these questions for yourself and that once you’ve been brave enough to do the soul searching, that you are really ready to walk through the doors that the universe opens for you, head held high and living your powerful purpose.
